We also have a guest in studio here while Poo is getting out of the chair and out of the front of her microphone and our guest is sitting down. We're going to go to the phone and talk to Gary Bourgeois about the satellite deal we have. I was telling you that I thought maybe we could get a satellite system for around $150 or a little more because we used to be able to but we can't anymore. You want to tell us about that Gary? Okay Bill. Well those systems there were some cheap Korean dishes which were like three footers and a very cheap receiver. Those can be used on the C band but not very effectively. Uh huh. They work. They don't work well. If it rains you have problems. Also there's very believe it or not the cheap system is very difficult to set up because you have to set every satellite individually. So when you boost satellites which we're going to be doing in a couple of months you've got to go through all kinds of rigmarole. We found that it just isn't worth it to do it that way. Now what we have done instead is made the decision to get you the same system that the radio stations use. And this is primo stuff. This is equipment that runs and runs 24 hours a day. I've got two of these receivers here right now. I'm looking at one. The picture is absolutely perfect. The sound quality is tremendous. It has both wide and narrow bands something cheap receivers didn't have. It costs a little more but this is for the people who are serious about getting into becoming a network affiliate of the hour of the time. This is all commercial grade stuff and it's not going to give you any problems. Great. And the, oh, what is it I'm looking for? The system itself is designed strictly to listen to or to be able to tune in on one satellite and listen to whatever is on there, right? Right. You can get 24 channels on each satellite. Uh-huh. Now that's the other thing. The $150 system only got half the channels. You had to pick whether you wanted the vertical polarity or the horizontal polarity. This gives you both. It's much more sensitive. It's still a lot cheaper than a lot of people have spent for the shortwave radio that they're listening to us on. And you never have to put up with that fading again. Once you have a satellite system, you will probably spend more time listening to that than you ever spent listening to your shortwave. Wow. I do. And, listen, I've got lots of shortwave radios and I've got some of the best ever made. I've got one shortwave receiver, a top grade communications receiver. It costs $1,200. And I turn it on to make sure that you're there. And then I turn it off and listen on the satellite. Great. So with this system, they'll be able to set up their dish. In fact, we're going to give them the inclinometer, which tells them what angle to set their dish at. And then they just move it from side to side. Yeah, you move it from side to side until you get the signal. And when we change satellites, you just have to slide. Just move the dish. Man, you just go out there and it moves really easy. Just loosen the boat and just turn it until you get the new satellite. And we will already have it programmed for both channels. We'll have it programmed in there for you. We'll also put in another 24-hour Patriot Network because we're not 24 hours yet. But once Bill gets the network going and we get 24 hours here, this is where you're going to want to listen anyway. So you don't need to pick up anything else. That's correct. And we are, ladies and gentlemen, going to start a network. It is going to be successful. And we're going to take the airwaves back all across this country. This is just the first step. Tomorrow night we'll be telling you about a low-power FM transmitter that we'll have available for you in kit form. And we'll be looking for one that is already assembled, if we can find one, because most of them come in kits. And if we can, it will be for those of you who are a little bit leery of getting out a soldering iron and putting together a radio from instructions. But for those of you who would like to do that, we already have available a kit transmitter that you'll be able to order from us. And everything that we're going to make available, folks, we're going to make available to you at the price we get it for, plus a very small handling fee. And I'm not sure exactly what all that means. I'm going to let Gary explain it to you. Okay. That's the low-noise block converter and heat horn all in one unit. This is the very latest technology. 25-degree is considered the optimum, most sensitive LMB you can get. They do make some that are 20 degrees. There's no noticeable difference. CalAmp is the most reliable low-noise converter manufacturer in the country. This is what amplifies the very tiny signals that are coming from space, makes the strongness of the receiver. Wow. And the receiver is a PANSAT BR-3500 receiver, which I know people who have that receiver, and I know that it is an excellent receiver. You want to tell us a little bit more about it for those technically-oriented folks out there, Gary? Okay. This is 100% digitally tuned. It's got a readout just like your most expensive shortwave radios do. It reads out the main satellite frequency. It reads out your video frequency, your audio frequency. It's got graphics on the various things that you're doing with the satellite receiver so you know what band you're on and everything else. Very, very nice receiver. As I say, I've got two of them, and I've never had any troubles with it. I've had the cheaper ones, and I had to send them back. So this is the one to have. Radio stations are using these are a great receiver. Plus, we're able to throw in 100 feet of RG6 coax cable, which should be enough for anybody. That's a long coax. And does it have the connectors on both ends? It should come with the connectors. I'll make sure it does. Okay. Plus, you get an inclinometer and a complete set of instructions. How to set up your dish and your system to be able to receive the hour of the time and one other Patriot network on the satellite. And it will also be pre-programmed for the new satellite that we're going to move to so that the only thing that you'll have to do is go out and realign your dish. And that's included in your instruction package also for the new satellite. And with each dish that's shipped, the coordinates of the satellite will be given to you for your individual location. Right. So each one of you, wherever you tell us you live, we're going to give you the coordinates for the satellite so that you can set up your dish real easily from your position. And the satellite has a one-year guarantee. And there's a – what were you talking – what were you telling me earlier? Yeah. If there's any problems with the system out of the box, you get a return authorization from the distributor. If it fails within a year, the factory will take care of the problem. And they've done real good about that. There are very, very few failures, but occasionally, you know, something goes on. Yeah, you can never tell. You can never tell with any electronic equipment. This stuff is all – it's all checked. We make sure that everyone is checked before they go out. The guy who does the programming makes sure that they work because he has to do that in order to program it. The only thing you have to supply yourself is a three-and-one-half-inch outside diameter mounting pipe. It needs to be vertical. You also will be responsible for determining that you have a clear view of the satellite. Basically, it means you need a good view of the southern hemisphere. The good news is that the new satellite is going to be very high in the sky, should be over the trees. If you have trees right now on Galaxy 6, you probably will not have them where the new satellite is. And no matter – if you're listening to us in Greenland or in Hawaii, the new satellite will blanket that, as well as Central America north of the Arctic Circle. That's great because people who never could receive us on satellite before are now going to be able to receive us very well. Yes. And it covers everything. Yes. The satellite we're moving to is the newest generation – the first of the new generation of satellites made by General Electric. It's called GE1. It is an extremely powerful satellite. It's going to be in an ideal location for the entire country. Wow. And we're one of the first people to get on there. Wonderful. Okay. Should I tell them the price? Yeah, go ahead, Bill. Okay. that nobody wants to hear and nobody wants me to broadcast and taking all the risk are you trying to tell me you don't want to you want me to take your risk too no I'm just that's what it sounds like no it's not my risk it's our risk and I'm wondering if anybody has overcome this problem with like cranking out a lot of watts and getting come down on like Aaron Krishna on an airport traveler from these federal if you obey the law and understand the law you can't get in any problems and the law is for wattage I don't know what the fed say the law is for wattage but I can tell you right now as long as you are not broadcasting on a frequency that interferes with any other broadcast you're not broadcasting across state lines or across international borders and you're not broadcasting across a body of water upon which a vessel can receive your broadcast you have no problems and people are doing it all over the country okay I understand that I have a question you had a gentleman on a couple months ago he had his little set up and the moral of the story at the end of the show was that he finally caved in and got a license from the federal government to run his little SMI wasn't my show you were listening to well you had a guest host and they had a gentleman on that I think you interviewed him one time and he was I guess he was really getting persecuted by the by the you've been listening to another broadcast the only person we've ever interviewed on the hour of the time who was being hassled by the feds was a guy down in Phoenix who had a low power FM broadcast station he didn't know what to do they came and tried to shut him down he wouldn't let him in they didn't have any warrants they didn't you know they weren't they were operating under the color of law and they gave him a notice of apparent violation and said that he owed them something like seventeen thousand dollars well he contested it he's back on the air he never got a license and he was never shut down let me say this again you must have been listening to another broadcast let me ask you this is it possible to put a little packet together of all the how to let me say this again if you're concerned about it write to the FCC and ask them because that's who you are apparently worried about they will tell you what you can and can't do if you're worried about them and if you want to give in to their jurisdiction go ahead and do it I won't do it I'm not under their jurisdiction I know what the law is they have no jurisdiction over me whatsoever unless I do the things that I've quoted to you what I'm asking is as a courtesy could you put a packet of material no all you have to do is write to the Federal Communications Commission and ask them for the rules of FM micro broadcasting and they will send it to you goodnight folks if you're so so helpless that you can't even find the address of the FCC or take care of your own business or take some risk on your own shoulders if you want me to do
