The exponential math is seductive but land actually hits a ceiling way faster than the herd grows. I’ve seen people start with solid grazing plans and run out of room pretty quick, then it’s either constant selling or overgrazing problems. The inputs change completely once you can’t actually free-graze anymore.
Thanks for your input. This math is based on a smaller sample of real results, though others might have had differing results, certainly. Doing it the way most people do, in these modern times, just doesn’t work! I really don’t see a problem with constant selling, I think that was the point. If overgrazing is occurring, it is not truly free range, is it? Herd animals don’t go where harvesting food is difficult, they instinctively rotate where the food tastes the best and is easiest to harvest. In fact, they will break down a fence to get to it.
