Could you survive here? Not without fire. I guarantee it. And why anyone would want to take away these man’s right to fire? There are those who do. People who have the right to fire are more difficult to control. Believe it.
Dozens of times living off grid, the solar panels failed. The wind turbines failed. The generators failed. Our grid-tie FAILED. But do you know what never once failed? Fire. Fire was never a problem.
Couple times, in anticipation of soot in the chimney, I needed to clean it. But I always knew well in advance that I needed to clean the chimney. No big deal. Takes 20 minutes to clean a chimney.
Fire never fails.
And firewood? Endless.
