When the 1st nuclear bombs were being tested, they used plastic to protect themselves. Can you imagine putting those courtesy shoes on that tradesmen like to wear when entering your home and expecting any amount of protection from radiation?
We still to this day do not understand the true effect of endless hours of exposure to smaller doses of radiation. But those same TSA employees often die from skin cancer. There is your canary in the coalmine. And that is your causality.
