Why do I recommend it? Well, it lets you disable 5G and other newer bands (the older the band, the better, I prefer 802.11 G - it has much better range anyways) It also lets you cut the power down to 25%. That’s 75% less radiation pulsating through the chasms of your family home. Disable 5G, set your 2.4G bandwidth to 20, set your channel to 1, pre-amble type short, set up that wireless schedule to off at night, DTIM 255. Disable all that IoT spyware.
Your fancy new iphone is shit. See the aforementioned. The iphone 8 plus has a GREAT camera, is five years old, and is not even capable of 5G bands… The highest I would personally go is the iPhone 11.

Airplane mode, disable cellular, wifi only. Better yet, corded only. Wifi also off at night, you can schedule this on your router.
